Next time when i go shopping overseas, i should probably bring those hand carried luggages too. I saw so many locals lugging them around!
Our first stop: Gundam cafe (right outside Akihabara station)
Their lunch menu which is customized to the characters and storyline in Gundam.
So cute right..tomato rice with sausages. It was not bad..or perhaps i was hungry lol
Haroro!
Looking at this picture then i realised I didn't try his Curry rice! whaaat...

It was really cold that day. Especially when the wind blew right at your faces...my goodness. Now we know for weather below 15deg, we must dress warm and don't joke around like fools.
After Gundam cafe, we went over to AKB48 cafe which is right next to it. J was afraid that there might be a queue as from his research, it is usually crowded during the weekends. We went on a Saturday and surprisingly no queue!

Customers are only allowed to stay a maximum of 1 hour and there is a huge screen playing the music videos of this popular girl band. And of cause, the staff are dressed in school uniform.

When you order a drink you will be entitled to 1 coaster. Apparently, the locals collect them and carry a folder around keeping these precious tokens. We saw a guy who ordered 5 drinks just to collect 5 coasters! Japanese are really committed to their hobby and I really admire that..they really support their own local music scene and all!
Everyone just sat there eating their food and watching music videos in rows. I got kinda bored and the dessert we ordered were rubbish. I was really disappointed as I have high expectation of Jap desserts! Mehs.

Thereafter, we went to roam around the streets (:

We went to the arcade over there too! So cheap. 100 yen per game!

And after much walking and gaming, we went to a maid cafe, call Maidreamin. YES, J just could not get enough of such themed cafes. They charged by hour and for first comers, we could only choose from the menu package that were for first comers and there were only two main dishes. For the package, you get free merchandise and polaroid photos too. We spent around SGD80 for this visit. Rather expensive but for the experience, i think its worthwhile. You get to watch performance and learn how to cheer with the Maids before each meal. They were really enthusiastic so I can't make myself not to act cute along with them haha. Guys will love it there with all the cute jap girls.
yah obviously, i am not cute enough to be the maid. XD

They have this restriction too that you cannot use your phone to take picture of their maids. Unless u pay an additional amount to take picture. Yes, u must pay if u wanna use your own damn phone to take pics of their maids ok. Of cos we did not pay that amount..take picture of me for free can already.

Before we left Akihabara, we went to the mall beside the station and had this superrr yummy ichigo milk! I didn't know strawberry milk can taste this goood!
Strawbies at the bottom.
With heart shape ice. How can i not love it? <3
The sky darkens quite early in Japan..around 5pm? So we wasted no time and went Harajuku!
The worst tako pochi -.-
We continued walking around and we tried to go back to the station but we ended up at Shinjuku! lol but it was definitely a happy mistake because..we found the famous Ichiran Ramen!!! We just slurped down the whole bowl. Damn yummy la..Can i have one now? PLEASE!
We back to our hotel after this and our feet were so sore from walking. Tired but had a fun filled day! We might have bought Gindako back to hotel too..haha we went tokyo to eat and walk basically. This Gindako was located super near to our hotel. Just a corner away. Bonus!!!
In the next blog entry will be the third day and I think (i have STM:) we went to Asakusa temple, Tokyo towers and back to Harajuku's yoyogi park for a special event!
